About Me

Hi, I'm Jasleen!

The reader behind 100 Pages Left

I'm a sucker for a good fantasy or romance (or romantasy!) book and I'm on the mission to find books that make you forget you have responsibilities.

So...why 100 Pages Left?

You know that point in a book when you hit the last 100 pages and suddenly everything changes?

You stop checking your phone. You tell yourself you'll read one more chapter. You start calculating how much sleep you can sacrifice. Suddenly, finishing the book is the only thing that matters.

That's the feeling I'm chasing.

100 Pages Left is my little corner of the internet for books that make you want to keep turning the page, with honest reviews of the ones that don't.

I want to help you find not only good books, but ones that are genuinely worth your time.

How I Rate Books

Rating

How much did I actually like it?

Binge Factor

How badly did I want to keep reading?

Spice Level

How much heat to expect?

Rating and Binge Factor are intentionally separate. A book can be a five-star masterpiece that I slowly savoured for three weeks, or a two-star mess that I absolutely inhaled in one sitting.

That's the difference between a book I loved and a book I couldn't put down.

Rating Scale

★★★★★★

6 Stars - God-Tier

The one. I'd read it a million times and still love it. An exceptional combination of plot, characters, romance, writing, and/or comedy that comes together almost perfectly. An absolute masterpiece.

★★★★★

5 Stars - Chef's Kiss

Amazing. I loved it and would absolutely recommend it. It delivered pretty much everything I wanted.

★★★★⯨

4.5 Stars - Elite

Almost perfect. Something small kept it from a 5, but it's still an easy recommendation.

★★★★

4 Stars - Great

Really enjoyable. It has some clear flaws, but the good far outweighs the bad. Definitely worth recommending.

★★★⯨

3.5 Stars - Good

A solid read. Strong elements and plenty to enjoy, but it didn't quite leave a lasting impression.

★★★

3 Stars - Average

Fine. Good ideas, mid execution. I didn't hate it, but I didn't particularly care either.

★★⯨

2.5 Stars - Underwhelming

Had potential. There were things I liked, but the book didn't deliver on what it promised and felt like a bit of a slog.

★★

2 Stars - Disappointing

Mostly a miss. The flaws outweighed the good, and I didn't get much enjoyment out of it.

★⯨

1.5 Stars - Not for Me

I finished it, but I didn't like it. Maybe there was one redeeming quality, but overall, this just wasn't my book.

1 Star - Painful

A chore. Major problems across the board made this genuinely difficult to get through.

🚫

DNF - Not Rated

I didn't finish it, so it doesn't get a rating.

🔥Binge Factor

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Full Binge

I had a problem. I struggled to put it down, lost track of time, stayed up late, and/or found myself thinking about the book when I wasn't reading.

🔥🔥🔥🔥

Can't Put It Down

I was obsessed. I consistently looked forward to getting back to it and occasionally found myself prioritizing reading over other things.

🔥🔥🔥

Page Turner

I was invested. I regularly wanted to pick it back up and sometimes read longer than I intended.

🔥🔥

Casual Read

I was interested, not desperate. I wanted to know what happened, but I was perfectly happy to put it down and only reached for it when I was in the mood.

🔥

Slow Burn

No urgency. I rarely thought about the book between reading sessions and could easily go days without picking it up.

Binge Factor measures reading compulsion, not book quality. A five-star book isn't automatically a five-flame book.

🌶️Spice Level

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Pure Smut

The spice is the main event. Minimal plot or a plot that takes a backseat to frequent, lengthy, and highly explicit scenes.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Great Time

Very romance/spice driven. Multiple explicit scenes with significant detail, while the story still has a meaningful role.

🌶️🌶️🌶️

Good Time

A solid amount of spice. Around 2–3 clearly explicit scenes, with the plot still taking priority.

🌶️🌶️

Getting Hot

Some on-page spice. Usually 1–2 intimate scenes with lighter language and less detail.

🌶️

A Bit Warm

Mostly chemistry and intimacy. Little explicit detail, with perhaps 1–2 brief scenes.

♨️

Steamy

Chemistry over explicitness. Focuses on buildup, attraction, kissing, and/or implied intimacy, with little to no explicit on-page detail.

No spice? If a book has little to no romance or sexual content, I denote it with a "-" instead of a spice rating.

Binge-Worthy Read

The Binge-Worthy Read stamp is reserved for books I'd genuinely recommend and that gave me the kind of reading experience

100 Pages Left is all about.

A book doesn't have to be perfect to earn the stamp. It just has to be something I'd happily put in front of another reader and say:

"You need to read this!"

Binge-Worthy = strong recommendation + Binge Factor of 4 or 5.

I'm Jasleen, the reader behind 100 Pages Left — professional TBR over-stacker, occasional book buyer, and firm believer that "one more chapter" is a perfectly reasonable decision at 1 a.m.

I created 100 Pages Left to share the books I can't stop thinking about, the books I couldn't put down, and the books that absolutely did not live up to the hype.

When I'm not scrolling through TikTok, you can find me talking nonstop about Taylor Swift, listening to my wide-ranged Spotify playlists (you got to have a playlist for every occasion), or actually reading the books I bought.
